Dear Editor,
I have never before stepped forward to publicly endorse a candidate for selectman. When I retired as town manager, I offered this advice to a sitting selectman: “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”
Allin Frawley is a fresh breeze and new face, a person who has demonstrated that he cares about this community. He is already contributing in a number of ways. As “Selectmen Watchers” know, Allin has been attending selectmen’s meetings for the past 3 ½ years. He also currently serves on the Conservation Commission, the E. M. S. Committee and the Zoning Recodification Task Force. He’s also has served on the C.P.A. By-Law Committee, Open Space Plan Committee and Charter Review Committee.
Allin has taken the time to develop a knowledge and understanding of the issues and the challenges facing the town, and, I believe, he is ready to serve the residents of the town of Middleboro as a member of the Board of Selectmen.
If elected, he will not push a personal agenda, rather, he will seek to serve the community of people he cares about so deeply.
I step forward now to ask you to give Allin Frawley one of your two votes for selectmen on April 2, 2011. I am convinced that Allin will always care first and apply his knowledge second. He will do his homework, but he will never lord it over others. He will remain a humble servant of the people.
Sincerely,
Jack Healey
THANK YOU JACK!
