Huge endorsement from Bruce Atwood

March 30, 2011 By: admin Category: Endorsements

Few people in Middleboro politics are more respected than Bruce Atwood – former selectman, member of the Pierce Trustees, and chairman of the Zoning Board. Allin is honored to receive his endorsement in the March 24th Gazette:

To the citizens of the town of Middleboro:
.
It gives me great pleasure to endorse Allin Frawley as a future member of the Board of Selectmen. In all my years involved in town government I have never found many candidates I could endorse, but Allin is a candidate I truly believe would make an excellent selectman.
.
Over the last few years Allin has taken it upon himself to learn the issues and workings of town government. He has regularly attended meetings of the Board of Selectmen, asking questions and bringing up new issues for them to ponder and resolve.
.
My first introduction to Allin was when we both were members of the Charter Study Committee. He immediately acknowledged he had a lot to learn about town government. Based upon his in-depth involvement, Allin secured a wealth of town government knowledge to build upon.
.
Since then, Allin has served on a number of committees and attended various meetings for the sole purpose of educating himself on the issues. A few weeks ago he attended a zoning hearing to understand how the system operates. It is very rare to see a candidate for selectman attend such a meeting.
.
Allin’s involvement and dedication to town government will make him a good representative of the town and a good leader. He will investigate issues and bring them to a conclusion. I urge you to vote for Allin Frawley in the election on April 2nd.

Selectman McKinnon endorses Allin

March 30, 2011 By: admin Category: Endorsements

Middleboro Selectman Steve McKinnon endorsed Allin Frawley and Ben Quelle for selectman. McKinnon’s endorsement came by way of a letter to the Middleboro Gazette:

The days of waiting two years for a simple set of procedures that will allow, you, the resident on our great town to know how your BOS operates are over. You have the right to be heard. You have the right to be able to contact a board member with an issue! You have the right to have issues heard and not buried like edgeway, private ways, big deals that turned out to be big nothings, how many more do you need?
.

It is time to elect people to the board that will listen to you! That is why I put my full support behind Ben Quelle and Allin Frawley for selectman in Middleboro and I hope you will also. Vote for Ben and Allin on April 2, 2011.

This release is not related to the Middleboro Finance Committee, its members or
opinions. It is a letter from Citizen Rich Pavadore and is to be placed into the
Middleboro Gazette editorial section on 3/31/2011 if possible.

Press Release
My name is Rich Pavadore and I would like to offer my endorsements for Mr. Ben Quelle and Mr. Allin Frawley as future members of the Board of Selectmen. Over the past few months I have had the opportunity to meet with and speak to both candidates and have found them to be energetic and passionate about improving the town of Middleborough. Although each of the gentlemen have distinctly different personalities and ideas, both have shown me that they have positive attitudes, professionalism and the commitment to serve our town expeditiously.

During my tenure as a member of the Finance Committee, I believe it is imperative for all committees and boards to work closely together so we can collectively provide the citizens the best possible local government. I also believe that open meetings should not only be open to the public but also inviting to everyone who takes the time to attend. The Finance Committee has strived to welcome anyone attending our meetings. We feel it is important for us to listen to the concerns, comments and questions from our visitors in order for us to provide more educated recommendations to the town. Allin and Ben have shown their willingness to bring that same spirit to the Board of Selectmen.

I believe that Ben and Allin have the skills and unselfish desire, to independently listen to all sides of the issues before them, educate themselves on those issues, and then provide us with unbiased and timely votes so that the Board and Town can move forward together.

Your vote on April 2nd at the Annual Election will define how our town moves forward in the years to come. These elected leaders will make many social, political and financial decisions that will directly affect your everyday life. It is important to elect the leaders that best represent your ideas.

This letter does not represent the opinions, or decisions of the Finance Committee or any of its members of which I am one. This is a personal letter from me as an active participant in the operation of our town.

Thank you,
Richard J. Pavadore

PTA President endorses Allin

March 24, 2011 By: admin Category: Endorsements

Allin is very excited to be endorsed by Sharon Ellis. Ms. Ellis is President of the Middleborough Elementary PTA and is the State Advocacy Chair/Federal Legislative Chair of the Massachusetts PTA. It means a lot to receive a vote from someone as informed and dedicated to the public good as Sharon.

It should be noted that this endorsement is personal endorsement by Ms. Ellis – not an official position of the organizations she is involved with.

I am writing to voice my support for Board of Selectman candidate Allin Frawley. Allin will bring to the board the dedication, common sense approach and drive needed to make a difference in Middleboro.

In many ways, Allin has already shown a commitment to the town of Middleboro. Through his past and present service on various town committees including the Charter Review/Change Committee, the Conservation Committee, the Open Space Planning Committee, the EMS Committee, the Community Preservation Act Bylaw Committee and the Zoning Recodification Task Force, Allin has demonstrated his desire to take an active role in the town. Allin also attends Board of Selectmen meetings on a regular basis.

More than that, Allin has proven to be accessible to the citizens of this town. Recognizing that there has never been an easier or more effective way to stay in immediate and direct contact with his supporters, Allin has developed a website as well as Facebook and Twitter accounts. In addition, he has opened a campaign headquarters downtown where voters can stop in, meet Allin, ask questions and share their concerns. His willingness to listen and respond to voters will make him, if elected, a true representative of the people.

I ask you to join me in voting for Allin on April 2nd. As a selectman, Allin will represent Middleboro honorably and will make sure that our voices are heard.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Sharon Ellis

Former Town Manager Supports Allin

Dear Editor,

I have never before stepped forward to publicly endorse a candidate for selectman. When I retired as town manager, I offered this advice to a sitting selectman: “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”

Allin Frawley is a fresh breeze and new face, a person who has demonstrated that he cares about this community. He is already contributing in a number of ways. As “Selectmen Watchers” know, Allin has been attending selectmen’s meetings for the past 3 ½ years. He also currently serves on the Conservation Commission, the E. M. S. Committee and the Zoning Recodification Task Force. He’s also has served on the C.P.A. By-Law Committee, Open Space Plan Committee and Charter Review Committee.

Allin has taken the time to develop a knowledge and understanding of the issues and the challenges facing the town, and, I believe, he is ready to serve the residents of the town of Middleboro as a member of the Board of Selectmen.

If elected, he will not push a personal agenda, rather, he will seek to serve the community of people he cares about so deeply.

I step forward now to ask you to give Allin Frawley one of your two votes for selectmen on April 2, 2011. I am convinced that Allin will always care first and apply his knowledge second. He will do his homework, but he will never lord it over others. He will remain a humble servant of the people.

Sincerely,

Jack Healey

THANK YOU JACK!
